About Dr. Masten
Megan Masten, MD is a fellow in Complex Family Planning at the University of Colorado. She grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and received a Bachelor of Science in Movement Science with a minor in Women's Studies at the University of Michigan. During her undergraduate education, she developed a passion for reproductive justice, and pursued this in medical school. She went to Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and did her clinical training in Flint, Michigan where she received a certificate in Underserved Medicine. She did her residency training at the University of Colorado and during residency pursued research interests such as permanent contraception, substance use and abortion care, and expulsion of intrauterine devices for adolescents based on body mass index. Dr. Masten's clinical and research interests include improving access to abortion care, complex ectopic pregnancies, and novel contraceptive options.
